Getting Help with Medicare From Chapter
Every fall, people on Medicare get a chance to review their health coverage and make changes. Many people skip it because the choices feel confusing. Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7. Plans can change from year to year. Costs, drug coverage, and the doctors in a plan may all be different next year. There is also a second chance in the new year. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you can make one change between January 1 and March 31. You can switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan, or go back to Original Medicare and add a drug plan. If you are close to retiring, making choices on your own, or helping a loved one with their paperwork, all of this can feel like a second job. Talking with an expert can make it much easier.
Family First has teamed up with Chapter to give members free Medicare help. Chapter's licensed advisors learn about your doctors, your medicines, your budget, and your health needs. Then they compare plans to help you find a good fit. Chapter says its advisors look at Medicare plans across the country, even plans it does not sell. That way, you can see all of your choices before you decide. The call is free, and you never have to sign up for a plan.
